Mario Adalberto Arredondo Pérez, the Maintenance Manager at Sealed Air Mexico, has recently become student number 500
The Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre has reached student number 500 during the 6th edition of its practical maintenance course. A landmark for the company which has coincided with Mario Adalberto Arredondo Pérez, the Maintenance Manager at Sealed Air Mexico. After 5 years during which time 41 advanced courses and technical seminars have been organised, more than 500 professionals have broadened their knowledge in different areas of printing and flexible packaging conversion.
And to celebrate the fact that the technological centre has now taught more than 500 professionals from all over the world, Manel Xifra, Chairman of Comexi Group, and David Centelles, Director of Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre, have presented Mario Adalberto Arredondo with a commemorative plaque, and have given an address to the rest of the students acknowledging this event.
“For our company it is an honour to have consolidated this area of knowledge, created by the founder of Comexi Group, with the arrival of student number 500”, Manel Xifra highlighted to the student group. The Chairman also thanked the professionals for their confidence in the centre, with students this time from America and Spain, “because the technological centre is precisely a world meeting place that is strengthened by the exchange of experiences between professionals like yourselves”.
During this edition of the practical maintenance course, eight professionals from Spain, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic have gained further knowledge of the subject. The training program spanning 4 days combines theory and practical sessions using Comexi technologies, and once again the aim of the course is to train participants in preparing and implementing an efficient maintenance program in flexography printing, lamination and slitting machinery.
41 advanced courses in four languages
Since 2010, the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre has already trained more than 500 professionals from 31 countries all over the world. The wide range of advanced courses and technical seminars has helped to consolidate this institution in training and consultancy issues in the printing and flexible packaging conversion sectors. To date, the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre has developed courses focusing on flexo printing, lamination, maintenance, colour, machine operation and other processes included in flexible packaging conversion. The courses are currently held in Spanish, English, French and Russian.
Thanks to the importance of the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre as a vehicle for knowledge in the flexible packaging industry, it also takes an active part in the university sector. At present, thanks to its relationship with the Universitat de Girona, each student is given a diploma credited by the Universitat de Girona Foundation, as a specialisation course.
The co-operation agreement between both parties has led to implementing the Specialisation Diploma in Flexible Packaging Conversion. This certificate is given to all professionals attending the advanced sessions in printing, laminating and maintenance, as well as the technical seminars, totalling at least 160 hours.
