Comexi Group have signed an agreement with Boran Packaging for the purchase of four pieces of machinery: a Comexi NEXUS Dual laminator, a Comexi PROSLIT S2 DT slitter, a Comexi ENVIROXI Ecodistil 100 AG distiller and a Comexi ENVIROXI EVL 2000 parts washer. All these technological solutions will provide Boran Packaging an advanced product capability and expand capacity at their Naas based production facility, County Kildare, Ireland.
This multiple sale for Comexi Group also marks the start of a new sales partnership with Innovo Packaging Technology Ltd for the UK and Irish marketplaces.
Technological solutions to increase productivity
The Comexi NEXUS Dual includes a gearless flexo trolley for registered flexo overprinting and lacquering at register, in addition to the conventional solvent based and solvent free lamination. It works at production speeds up to 450 mpm.
The Comexi PROSLIT S2 DT has both razor and rotary cutting capability, two rewind turrets and 4 rewind shafts for minimized change over times and maximized productivity. The unit also includes laser pointers to assist the operator in new core loading and auto pusher for discharge of finished product.
The Comexi ENVIROXI Ecodistil and parts washer will replace aging equipment. At the same time will increase efficiency and capacity as run lengths decrease and volumes of solvent from automated washdown cycles increase off their two eight colour gearless flexo presses.
Mairtin Boran, owner of Boran Packaging explained that he chose Comexi for “their high level of technological solutions, professional customer support and ability to supply all four pieces of equipment in a short timeframe”.
Tim Hilton, Sales Director of Innovo stated that “this is a fantastic start to our partnership with Comexi Group and we look forward to supporting the staged installations early in 2015 and to increasing Comexi’s sales successes in the UK and Ireland in the short and long term”.
