Girona, 31st May 2016 – Comexi, as a global supplier with three lines of print, presents in Drupa its latest developments in the Comexi R2. Comexi’s innovative gravure press meets the needs of the flexible packaging market whilst maintaining high levels of quality.
The Comexi R2 incorporates the most revolutionary technology in terms of machine control or mechanically driven systems in order to increase efficiency, as does the Siemens’ SIMOTION, that raises energy savings in the consumption of the press. Furthermore, the Comexi R2 features an ink system of variable volume that significantly reduces ink usage.
Printers need to have printing presses that facilitate the use and maintenance of short and medium runs. Comexi R2 responds to all the demands of the field: it allows quick job changeovers, minimises residues, provides mechanical stability at high speed and offers great adaptability.
Fast and flexible job changeover
Thanks to the latest technologies in control and new software developed by Comexi, the R2 is equipped with a control for registering ownership with maximum performance in accuracy and waste reduction.
The press also incorporates a trolley system that allows quick job changeover in order to considerably reduce downtime in the press. The operator can choose to change the inking trolley at the same time or change just the cylinder. In the core system version, only changes to the ink application group are allowed.
All Comexi R2 units incorporate their own touch screen panel, with controls of the main machine duplicated, including the register, in order to facilitate maximum use. The press also features the latest innovations in blade systems and dryers.
Comexi R2 can print with materials of width up to 1350mm, formats ranging from 450 to 920mm and a speed of 400m minute.
