Comexi, specialist providing flexible packaging solutions, and the Brazilian industry Totalflex Indústria de Embalagens LTDA extend its strategic partnership. The relation between both companies dates from 2002 when the Brazilian converter purchased its first flexographic press. “Our long business relationship has been a success, Totalflex was our first client that bought the first flexographic press totally developed and built in Brazil”, ensures André Perez, Comexi’s Sales Manager in Brazil.
Currently, this Brazilian company has 5 Comexi flexo presses installed in its production plant as well other Comexi technologies such as laminators, slitters and logistic peripherals. In addition, Totalflex has just acquired 4 more Comexi equipment’s: a 8 colours Comexi F2 MC flexo press, a Comexi DUAL laminator, a Comexi EVO laminator and a Comexi LCR clean roller system. “We focus on converters’ satisfaction and we appreciate our long-term partnership. Totalflex has become a reference converter in Brazil, achieving outstanding growth and representativeness in the Brazilian market and we are glad to contribute to its greatly evolution”, emphasizes Perez.
In this sense, during all these past 15 years, Comexi in Brazil has become the largest supplier for the flexible packaging sector and the group expects an increasing growing in this market for the following years.
Following its strategy of becoming a leading company, Totalflex has recently acquired top-performance solutions such as Comexi F2 MC press, a machine designed to satisfy the printing needs of medium and long runs in the flexible packaging field for the retail and wholesale channel. The Comexi F2 MC shares ergonomic and accessibility advances developed in F4 and F2 presses, as well as performance and robustness of the rest of F2 range. Allows print width from 870 mm (34.2 in) to 1270 mm (50 in), in 8 and 10 colours and maximum repeats of 800 mm (31.5 in). It includes the most advanced electronic systems to get the best quality print, even at high speeds and printing on different substrates, from plastic film to paper or laminated films.
On the other hand, they have purchased a Comexi DUAL, a hybrid machine that covers all kind of applications in the flexible packaging, providing the perfect answer for all those converters that want to expand their business. Enables converters to use different technologies: solvent and water based adhesives and lacquers, solventless adhesives, coldseals and one colour printing jobs. Moreover, this laminator in combination with Comexi laser technology has been recognized with Worldstar Award 2017 as the most outstanding innovation of the year in packaging processes and/or machinery.
Besides, Totalflex has also acquired a Comexi EVO laminator, which is an ideal solution for short and long runs and allows configurations with simple shaftless or “turret” type unwinders and rewinders to suit different production needs. Finally, the company is already using a Comexi LCR, an anilox and cylinder-cleaning system, which using laser technology provides in-depth and fast cleaning.
