Successful Interpack for Comexi

Comexi, specialist in solutions for the flexible packaging industry, closes its participation at the Interpack trade fair with new business successes resulting from the hundreds of visits received at its booth as well as the closure of trade agreements.
With 170.500 visitors from 168 countries and with more than 2.760 exhibitors from the packaging process industry, the Interpack show was for Comexi an excellent point of meeting with clients and collaborators, both present and future. “It has been a really successful trade fair. We received lots of top-quality visits from all around the world, specifically from different European countries, from Russia, South-East Asia and South America”, highlights Comexi’s Marketing Director, David Centelles.
Comexi lived up to its role as a market leader in the flexible packaging sector: “We’re glad about the general interest that our innovations aroused among the market. We have made lots of new contacts and many opportunities detected in all Comexi's technological lines”, emphasizes Centelles. He also adds that in this 2017 trade fair there has been a growing interest on this show surpassing the numbers registered in the previous Interpack edition.
In this sense, Comexi’s newest flexographic presses such as Comexi F2 ML, its offset technology, the highly attractive holographic applications provided by Comexi Futura laminator and its laser technology were some of the main technologies that aroused great interest among the visitors, clients and journalists. “As a specialist in machinery for the flexible packaging industry, Interpack is one of the most important international trade fairs and, in this edition, we showed how we can help converters to improve their efficiency and quality”, explains Centelles.
Comexi’s booth, located in Hall 13 stand D67, was plenty of visitors during the 8 days of the fair while the group could show solvent-less lamination samples, laser samples and flexo printed reels with holographic applications provided by its Russian collaborator Uniflex, which were widely demanded.
Comexi S1 MS world launch and group’s innovative solutions
During this edition of Interpack 2017, Comexi consolidate the world launch of its latest development in its slitting line: the new Comexi S1 MS, designed for big outputs reels. This top range machine obtains excellent results in those jobs that require working with and non-stretchable materials at high speeds. Besides, this machine satisfies two of the booming market trends; on one hand the need to work with more complex material structures and, on the other hand, the need of optimize production using input reels with larger diameters as it is happening in different markets such as the United States’ market.
Besides, during the show, the group provided information about its entire wide portfolio of flexible packaging machinery and presented its latest flexographic press Comexi F2 ML, which offers highest quality with high speeds and large repeats, and also the innovative offset technology Comexi CI8 press. “We are very pleased by the interest that our innovations have aroused in the market. Interpack general balance is very positive, we have strengthen relationships with our customers and we have initiated new contacts that will surely generate new business opportunities that put is in the best position”, highlights Comexi’s Marketing Director.
Several customers also asked information about the different group’s laminating and coating solutions such as Comexi ML1 and Comexi SL2 that provide peerless proposal in terms of usability and facility to operate with. As one of the leading manufacturers, the group has also water-based laminators such as Comexi L20000 that reduce environmental impact.
WorldStar Award 2017

In this sense, during Interpack, Comexi was designated one of the ‘Interpack roommates’ for its highly original activeness in social networks and received WorldStar Award 2017 – convened by World Packaging Organisation (WPO)- for the development of the most outstanding innovation of the year in packaging processes and/or machinery for its combination of lamination in register and Comexi Cingular Laser technology that optimizes production following the latest demands and market trends.
