Improving efficiency for better service
The first quarter of 2017 is behind us and the flexible packaging demand is growing alongside the growth of GDP in the various regions of the world. Customers are reporting stronger demands in the range of 3% - 6% depending on geography and segment. We also see that the investment climate is improving as orders books for printing presses and converting equipment remains strong.
Comexi is fully engaged in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing in order to reduce time to market for machinery enabling customers to take benefit of this. In engineering we are in the final phase of PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) that provide our customers with a fully 3D design of the machine. This gives us an efficient engineering process and simplifies the assembly instructions and parts identification. In supply chain we are reducing lead times in close co-operations with our vendors. In assembly we have implemented the concept of ‘pit stops’ for the assembly of the machine, reducing lead time. We invite you to visit our facilities to experience this new approach of our engineering and industrial model within Comexi.
We continue our efforts in New Product Development with the launch of our brand new Comexi F1 with robot technology and the all new Comexi F2 ML large repeat machine, available in Q2-2017.
Following the successful exhibitions at Drupa and K fairs last year, we are pleased to inform you that we will participate at Interpack trade fair in early May, to meet with the flexible packaging market on one of the largest packaging exhibitions worldwide.
Look forward seeing you there.
