• In a seminar organised by the Indonesian Packaging Federation, which brought together 130 professionals from the flexible packaging industry, in Jakarta
Girona, Spain. 17 November, 2015.- Comexi Group, leading company in the manufacture of machinery for the flexible packaging conversion industry, was one of the protagonists of the seminar 'The perfect harmony between flexible packaging and labels' organised by the Indonesian Packaging Federation -a member of the World Packaging Organisation- and sponsored by Comexi and Merindo Makmur, the company representing Comexi in Indonesia. Over 130 professionals discussed the present and future of the industry in this meeting held on 12 November at the Mulia Senayan Hotel in Jakarta.
The technical conference was attended by relevant companies in the sector like DuPont, BASF, SAC, Bandera Extrusion Intelligence and Siegwerk, with the aim of promoting the latest innovations in solutions and products for the flexible packaging conversion industry in Indonesia. The presentations addressed the relationship between converters and final clients, as well as the evolution of technologies regarding tendencies, productivity, efficiency and being environmentally friendly in order to respond to the market demands.
During the seminar, Comexi positioned itself as a reference brand in the development of printing and conversion solutions. On the one hand, the Marketing director and Manager of the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre, David Centelles, presented the various solutions that Comexi provides to the sector, and showcased the tools used to carry out an optimum productivity management with a flexo printer, highlighting features like change management, colour adjustment, and their monitoring based on parameters from industry 4.0.
On the other hand, Albert Comerma, Area Manager in Indonesia, presented the wide range of Comexi solutions for finishing, among which there was special interest in the holographic laminator Comexi NEXUS Futura and Comexi NEXUS L20000, the water-based laminator especially designed to respond to environmentally sustainable laminations, while at the same time reducing the time required by the packaging market. "The Indonesian market is achieving one of the biggest growths in the consumption of flexible packaging in Asia, and the country's converters require technologies with more and more added value and cost competitiveness, in order to respond to the consumer demands", said David Centelles.
However, the Catalan company not only works to provide machinery to converters, but also to advise them in their productive processes: "seminars like this one are useful for reinforcing synergies between the stakeholders in this industry, and sharing knowledge so that companies can optimise their production with the solid purpose of achieving the highest performance", highlighted Centelles.
