The group has recently installed a Comexi F4 at the company's facilities in France
Comexi, a specialist in solutions for the flexible packaging conversion industry, and Plastiques Landais, a French company specialized in the flexographic printing process, have strengthened their commercial relationship. The company has acquired a new flexographic press, Comexi F4, which is an ideal press for short runs and it is the reference in this market segment. It has been installed in Plastiques Landais’ headquarters located in Castets.
Through this acquisition, Plastiques Landais can quickly respond to their customers production needs, particularly those of last minute. Additionally, this new deal represents Plastiques Landais second Comexi’s press. “We were really impressed and satisfied with Comexi printing technology. Comexi F4 offers many options for us and is also ideal for short runs. We have been able to check and analyse its top performance, high productivity and fast changeovers”, explains M. Schoettel owner of Plastiques Landais.
Plastiques Landais is a small French family-owned company, with more than 30 years of experience that works as a supplier for French printers. The main objective of the company is to bring its high knowledge in flexography process to all its customers.
“We are really pleased with this new acquisition by Plastiques Landais, which has once again relied on the technology and quality offered by Comexi to maintain its level in the demanding French market”, explains Comexi Area Manager in this region, Olivier Gibert.
Comexi F4 is the most efficient solution for flexographic printing short run with 720 to 920 millimetres wide and a 600 millimetres maximum format. This press was the first to incorporate flexo efficiency patented concepts, with ergonomics and accessibility, as well as performance and robustness, which already characterizes the F2 whole range and the newest Comexi F1.
Among other features, the Comexi F4 has pipe-less magnetic blades, patented by Comexi, allowing the printing unit to change in less than one minute. The press also has features with high added value and improved printing quality provided exclusively by Comexi. The machine also has
other technical elements to minimize strip wear. In addition, Comexi F4 incorporates the Direct Drive system to synchronize the central drum and the mandrels. This process is possible through encoders mounted directly on the axis, improving the reading accuracy and print register. The Comexi F4 has also been reinforced by a core anilox of 152 centimetres in diameter.
With the Comexi F4 maintenance is easier and more accessible. The platform incorporates an easy-opening system to clean the central drum and it is possible to disassemble the drying screens from the side for cleaning. Furthermore, the threading material is easy and very accessible without the need of motorization or access stairs. It is also a user-friendly machine. The control panel located strategically makes easier the printing process elements control.
Comexi F4 is able to print 8 colours with different formats from 240 to 600 millimetres, widths up to 920 millimetres and at a speed of 300 metres/minute.
